Whitewater
rafting - Thousands of visitors have enjoyed the thrills and
spills of whitewater rafting with trips available on the Ayung,
Telaga Waja and Unda Rivers. The Ayung River is by far the most
scenic and has the shortest travelling time from most tourist destinations.
Diving & snorkeling - Bali is one of
the best diving destinations in the world. Golden beaches, clear
turquoise water teeming with marine life, above water, a diversity
of races and cultures coming together in cultural blend rich with
colors.
The most popular diving spots in Bali are Sanur, Padang Bai, Amed,
Nusa Lembongan, Tulamben, for instance.
Jungle Trekking - Trek into the tropical
mountain rain forest, near the lake village of Bedugul, where flora
and fauna thrive. Experience crossing the calm lake waters in a
traditional dug out canoe.
Cycling Tours - Cycling into the traditional
Balinese Villages, fantastic natural beauty and an insight into
the daily life of the local farming communities and much more.
Paradigling is a very thrilling way to see
Bali. If wind conditions are right, you can view the island from
a very different perspective. If it is your first time, you will
ride in tandem with an expert instructor who will guide your rise
and descent. Courses are available for those wishing to go solo.
Skydiving - skydiving is a new attraction
in Bali. If you think you can jump from an aircraft flying at 3000
ft, go for it!
Bungy jumping - Scared of heights? An adventure
sport that requires you to be less lofty is bungy jumping. The craze
has spread like wild fire in Bali.
Mountain climbing - For mountaineers, Bali
being a mountainous, volcanic island, offers some dramatic mountain
climbing experiences. Mt. Agung is the highest peak at 3.142 metres.
If you plan to climb, use local guide for safety reason. Mount Batur,
can be climbed i a few hours and if you want to see the sunrise,
start early and don't forget a torch.
Sea cruises - if you would like to explore
the islands near Bali you have a wide range of choices for boating
expeditions with anything from a few hours in a traditional jukung
to day cruises or longer overnights trips on yachts or luxury cruisers.
Local Events
Bali
Arts Festival held each year for one whole month give you the
best of the best of Balinese culture and performance. Candidat from
every region compete with each other to be able to perform in this
prestigious event.
The festival takes places in a huge "Art Center" located
in the heart of the city of Denpasar. This art center contains a
huge 6000 seat amphitheater for the performing of large-scale "Sendratari"
ballets, but also a series of smaller venues adapted to the intimate
atmosphere of traditional dance and theater.
